23 Things - The Fifth Thing

After reading the expectations for this response, I realize I did most of it in The Fourth Thing. So.... I decided to go back and look specifically for blogs that I would want to follow. Although there were few that interested me at this time, I decided to see if it would work with my sons blog. As mentioned earlier, he is majoring in Fictional Writing at CMU and keeps a blog of his stories, thoughts and over all babbling. I was able to subscribe to his blog, now I receive all his current blogs without having to go look for them. yeah!!!

23 Things - The Fourth Thing

After watching the video for the RSS feeds I got a little excited about how much easier my searches could be. I depend on the internet for quite a few of the activities I do in the classroom. I moved on after watching the video and went to google reader to search for my favorite sites. My favorite sites were not available for the RSS. I thought maybe I was doing it wrong so I then went to my favorite sites to look for the Icon discussed in the video, and it wasn't there. I then went back to google reader and searched topics. The sites were a little overwhelming and not what I was looking for. To me, unless I figure out a way to make it easier, I am not sure I would use RSS feeds at this time. I will, however, keep my eye out for the the listed Icons available for the RSS feeders. If I find one I use consistently, I will sign up for the feed.
